Burkburnett ISD will begin using a new guideline system to monitor its students progress, it is called Community-Based Accountability System.

The district joined 62 other Texas school districts.

“From a parents perspective, I think it’s fabulous as well because I like the idea of the educators being able to focus on my child, not the results they think he or she should have at the end of the year,” Jessica Hobbs, a Burkburnett Middle School teacher said.
